In its most uncomplicated form, blockchain is just a cloud-based ledger that records transactions. Applying blockchain with this new fangled record-keeping to tracking drugs (especially Addictive drugs) from the place of the production to the society or pharmacist/outlet. Each drug they sell is given a QR code that customers can scan to “see the date and location of every transaction—from collection at the drug plant to extraction and packaging, export, logistics and retail.” For this traceability to work, new processes have to be put in place at origin. So government can trace where this drugs are going to and who its going to. when its decentralized like this, there's no middleman in the production, selling the drugs to addicts and sell at high price, with this measure, it would be the pharmaceutical company and the pharmacy outlets/doctors can get access to this, and the government can trace it, and also know the genuinety of the drugs and know who to hold when it goes wrong. making the world a better place, a drug free society
