Road accidents have contributed to the large toll death rates due reckless speeding and poor mechanical conditions then one has to wonder the purpose of traffic officers on the roads but these can be bribed by drivers on the way,then after the accident how long will it take the insurance companies to carry out investigations and proceed to compensate but I think these would be easier by use of blockchain autonomous vehicles with sensors tied to smart contracts for example if a driver over speeds or exceeds to and fro journeys automatically the car system would less the speed back to normal and with connected GPS connections an alarm or alert would be sent to the near by police check point on the reckless over speeding and the driver would later be handed to courts of law and reputable drivers complying to the set conditions would be automatically rewarded with tokens after the journey,secondly with sensors tied to smart contracts would show all the data recorded on the blockchain on the drivers speed,mechanical conditions, among where by these could be immutably stored on blockchain and this be obtainable or accessible by both parties to find out the cause of an accident this would reduce costs in obtaining the information by insurance companies still the blockchain could help in upgrading classes for the drivers driving permits automatically because there is also corruption in issuing of these driving permits thus would build trust and transparency as passengers would also view the past driving history or record of the driver before boarding abus
